I’m about 40,000 dollars in credit label debt as well as I’m meditative about enlisting the assistance of the debt allotment company… though we do not know what to expect. Help.

Hi B.Mary,
I’ve actually been in the same place myself. I enlisted the help of DMB Financial and they were able to help me get out of debt. Of course it wasn’t over-night and it did take some time, but eventually I has able to settle by debts and move on.
It’s was a very straight forward process. Basically, DMB creates an account at the beginning of the program, that’s specifically design for you to add payments to. I continually added money into this account. Once there was enough money in my account DMB went to work helping reduce the amount of debt I owed to a variety of creditors. Overall I was able to settle my debts for far less than I would have if I did it on my own. They are life-savers.
I’ve linked to a post I found on their website that may help you understand the process and what to expect a little better… http://www.dmbfinancial.com/blog/index.php/2009/06/what-to-expect-from-your-first-settlement/. Hope this was all helpful Mary.
Good luck!
In Ireland we have a Money Advice and Budgeting Service that provide help and advice for anyone in your kind of situation…
As far as I know most countries have services like this on offer..
You should contact your local citizens information office as they will be able to tell you if you have one available to you and any other details you might need.
Hope that helps..
Good luck with everything..
those companies will charge you for the service
what they will do is gather all your debts together, contact the companies you are in debt to and negotiate with them. Sometimes they can get the amounts reduced(but never to nothing)
Why don’t you just contact each one you owe, and negotiate with them yourself, at least it won’t cost you and the worst they can say is ‘no’
I would like to suggest you get as much information as you could before taking action, here http://www.DebtFreetips.info/debt-free.htm is a good place for that.
