My sister’s been a client with them for a little over 2 months, and from her experiences with them, they’re a little dishonest. When they are trying to get you to sign up as a member everything sounds so wonderful and perfect, but then once you’re signed, it all seems to change. My sister has a hard time even getting to talk to someone, and all they really seem concerned about is getting their money. And as my sis was told, God help you if you have any problems with Citi, because they’re "the devil" according to DSA. Just proceed with caution and make certain that you read the fine print very carefully before you agree to join.

You really can’t do much about the rate. You should try and pay off the debt.

no you are the perfect customer. If you are not past due then will tell you to hit the road.

Ask for a reduction in interest rate. That is possible.

1. The bank won’t be interested.
2. The settlements will show on your credit report for 7 years.
3. You would owe income tax on the money not paid back.

You arent in arrears, so they wont "settle….

If they wont lower your rate, then find a card that will.. and will allow you to x-fer your balances….When you do.. tell Citi to shove it where the sun dont shine…

It is better to seek help from any reputed debt settlement company. Only such companies can handle it properly as their experience matters when it comes to settlement or negotiation.
